South Africa revived their Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a 4-0 win against Namibia, to brighten their prospects of knockout stages.

After a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Mali in their opening match, the Bafana Bafana bounced back in style, now occupying the second in Group E.

The breakthrough came early in the opening half, with Percy Tau scoring a penalty, to set the tone for a dominant performance.

Themba Zwane extended the lead to 2-0 in the 25th minute before adding another goal just 15 minutes later, to bag a brace.

Returning in the second half, South Africa’s frontline continued the pressure, paving way for Thapelo Maseko to complete the party in the 75th minute.

With three points and a heavy task ahead against Tunisia, South Africa hope to keep up the momentum, with the possibility of advancing into the round of 16.
