Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma has met with critical stakeholders of APC in the State ahead of the scheduled Ward and LGA congresses nationwide.
Addressing the party’s stakeholders at Sam Mbakwe Executive Chambers Government House, Owerri, the Governor called on all stakeholders to remain focused as the future of the party will be determined by the outcome of the exercise.
He said harmony and discipline among members of the party was a sure way to sustain victory in future elections, hence the need for peaceful harmonization among contenders.
“I urge stakeholders to collaborate in reinforcing the Party’s structure and enhancing its electoral prospects.
The Party’s success hinges on the cooperation and sincerity of its members.
“I advocate for inclusive leadership, and that all voices within the Party be considered in decision-making.
“APC is a family bound by a common vision for development, hence I urge for adherence to dialogue to resolve disagreements,” he said.
Uzodinma asserted that the strength of the party lies in unity, as he encouraged members to prioritise the collective interests of the Party and the Community.
The Governor added that he recognized the efforts of APC leaders and grassroots mobilizers in expanding the Party’s outreach, insisting that his administration was committed to ensuring development and security in the State.
In his earlier address, the State chairman of the Party, MacDonald Ebere, said that he acknowledged the efforts and contributions made by members in the ongoing e-registration exercise.
He thanked the Governor for creating what he described as enabling environment for the party, while urging members to continue in their zeal for peaceful Congress.
In his speech, the Chairman of the Committee for the Ward and LGA congresses, Godwin Anawore, highlighting the importance of the ongoing exercise, said that the future of the party is bright.
He commended the Governor for his efforts in keeping the party together, maintaining that the Congress is vital for APC success.
