Social media personality King Michy has issued a public apology following backlash over a live video in which she admitted to taking a substance while on camera.
Recall that King Mitchy had gotten into a fight with Verydarkman after calling him out over withholding the donated NGO funds, insisting that he commences work.
In a video statement, she acknowledged that her actions were wrong and said she had reflected deeply on her behavior in recent days.
She stated that she understands the responsibility that comes with having young people who look up to her and admitted she disappointed many people.
King Michy also publicly apologized to Seyi Tinubu, saying that although she had already apologized privately, she felt it was necessary to do so publicly because the incident happened in the public eye.
She further extended an apology to the Oni of Ife for mentioning his name during the controversy and expressed regret for bringing him into the situation.
In addition, she apologized to activist Martins Vincent Otse, saying she now better understands his advocacy and recognizes that he is fighting for the improvement of Nigeria.
She said …
“I’m ready to be held accountable for my actions. For some days I’ve thought about my behavior and I know that I was wrong and I want to be held accountable for the substance I took on a live video.
That was very wrong of me because there are young girls that are looking up to me one day and I know I disappointed a lot of people and I’m choosing life. That was wrong of me. I was wrong. and my boss ST i’m so sorry i know i apologized privately but i did not disrespect you privately i disrespected you publicly so i want to apologize publicly i’m so sorry sir and I want you to know that I will never take your support for granted. I
have never taken your support for granted and I will never take your support for granted.
And to the Oni of Ife, I’m so sorry, sir. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry for bringing your name into this. I’m so sorry, daddy.
And Verydarkman, my brother, I see what you’re f!ghting for. You’re f!ghting for Nigerians. And we can make Nigeria a better place. And I’m sorry for coming at you like that.
Maybe now I understand you better because I had to step back and understand the kind of person that you are. And I see that you’re f!ghting for a good cause for Nigeria to be better. You need more supporters, not people to f!ght you. I’m sorry, my brother. Thank you, Nigeria. My name is king Michy”

My brother VeryDarkMan, I’m really sorry. I shouldn’t have come at you like that. Now I understand you and what you are doing for Nigeria. For some days now, I’ve reflected on all I’ve done and I see it wasn’t right, especially considering there are many young girls out there.… pic.twitter.com/ws3KgTapdt
